Always a classic- Still as good as ever.
I remember when I first heard the Parker Jotter was being outsourced. I collected a few in case the product changed. The product did change...It got even better! I have found these recent Jotters to be more versatile than their predecessors, and I have two pen and pencil sets of this line. Both of them have been versatile, tough, and all around excellent products. I also have a few of the steel pens. I have gathered more of these both in the office and at home since the outsourcing. True, this old American classic pen has acquired a British accent, but it has gone from being a very good pen to being a great pen. British Parker QC is excellent. I wish more companies took this much care in their products.I advise anyone to buy at least one of these and perhaps more. This and the Pilot Knight are all an office needs. (Of course the pencils are also excellent. I prefer my Staedtler 9505 pencils, but the jotter pencils are a close second.)

Great Pen Great Price
For all the thousands of pens available this pen is by far the best value for the dollar. Simple, elegant, inexpensive and no pen cap to lose. My recommendation: buy more than one and give the extra pens to the people who sit next to you at the office. They will thank you.

Quality pen that fits
Needed a good pen for my Army uniform. It fits inside the the pen pockets of the new Army ACU uniform. The barrel is smooth, thin and there's no rubber grip that gets in the way. The size also makes it a great pen for a checkbook or organizer notebook.The pen is small, but stainless steel, so it's got a bit of heft to it for its size. It feels like quality.The spring is strong, but the clicking mechanism is smoothed. Maybe there's a buffer or something so it's easier to click than the spring makes it feel. The button is rounded so it feels good on the thumb.I'm mostly disappointed by the lack of places that sell this pen. Office supply stores used to sell them, but not anymore. Cheaper plastic pens with rubbery grips, there. Most places sell the Zebra pens, but those are made in Indonesia, where the Parker is made in the UK. I feel better about supporting a British company. Also, as someone else noted, you can't just buy a Jotter with...

A good pen for a young entrepreneur
This pen was a present for my son, so his appraisal is what I will send you. It is well-designed, and writes very smoothly. Since it is metal, not plastic, scratches don't show.I was so pleased with my son's pen that I bought one for myself. My old jotter had run out of ink and I had to buy a Staedtler refill because I couldn't find Parker locally. When the new pen arrived, I noticed that Parker refills write more smoothly than other brands.

Smooth operating, smooth writing, elegant pen
I purchased my black & gold Parket Sonnet ballpoint pen about 10 years ago, and it was used every day at work until my retirement last month. It is a metal pen, lacquer finished with gold trim. Mine was made when Parker was building pens in France, and is labeled such. The mechanism is smooth and precise, there is no "clicking" when writing (like my Aurora 88 has, and it's a much more expensive pen). The lacquer finish does not show any indication of wear or degradation from the oils in my hand (which are really rough on pens). Between Cross and Parker, in the medium black refill, I like the Cross best, but Parker are very, very close. The Cross starts immediately when you start writing, the Parker may lag just a bit if you haven't used it in several days. Overall, this is my favorite ballpoint pen, and I have several good ones to compare it to.

Parker Rollerball Pen

A Excellent Pen
This pen is my personal favorite.The Pen:An excellent design, entirely steel with a gold plated clip and push-end so it has an extremely solid feel. This pen is very thin; the tapered lower portion is thinner than a typical pencil, the upper portion would be about the same diameter as one. The case is brushed stainless steel brushed around the circumference rather than lengthwise. One other important note, I have had this pen in both my pants pocket and shirt pocket for well over two years of use and the gold plating still shows no signs of wear at all. I was extremely happy with this since many of the cheaper pens (quality but not necessarially price) will show the underlying metal with about 6 months to a year of use. The color of the pen is excellent (the stainless matches my platinum ring perfectly and a rich gold color contrasting) and the feel might be described as "slim, confident, and elegant". I love these pens!
the solid stainless steel pen made by Parker is a wonderful pen. I have had several over the years that are usually stolen. Luckily they are not TOO expensive to replace. The gold trim on this model looks very nice (especially the gold arrow). I highly recomend this pen to everyone. I have even bought some for friends because I love the pens so much.

I found one in the street
I found this pen lying in the street. Apparently, someone had discarded it due to malfunctioning. When I found it, the cartridge inside was leaking and it didn't work. What I did is play around with it for no particular reason other than curiousity. I removed the cartridge, took it home and looked it up online. I sent it to the manufacturer (Parker-Waterman) and they sent me a brand new one back! These pens have a life-time warrantee against mechanical malfunctioning from normal use.The pen has such a simple design, but I could tell at once that it's not one of those cheap throw away pens. There's nothing wrong with the other pen I own (Parker Urban), but it's good to have another high quality pen which uses the same cartridge. Personally, I would never spend $20.00 for a pen (I purchased my Urban for $5.00) and if I hold on to the Parker pens I have, I should never have to spend anymore than $4.00 for the replacement cartriges.

Luxury Pen
I was really skeptical when I was about to buy this pen. It did not look like the original Jotters or the fountain pens, Parkers are known for. When these guys finally came in the mail, it surprised me. They are a bit taller than the Jotters, and quite skinner. I really do enjoy these pens. Also they come in fine point Black color, so its a change from the medium points you use from the Jotters. The arrow clip is bigger and longer and its just a great pen to look at.I still can't say if I prefer these over Jotters, but they are really great.

This Parker Classic is a Great pen as it was a replacement for a lost classic given to me by my kids over ten years ago...This pen that I just recieved was made in UK as opposed to my last one which was a USA product. The UK classic appears to be of either lighter or thinner stainless steel, still a great pen for the money...would recommend it.

very attractive and writes well
I like the gel cartriges. This pen writes evenly and there is no mess. The gel doesn't leak or smudge the paper. The physical design is very attractive as many have complimented me on it. It may seem expensive, but pens like this are actually cheaper than the disposable ones. A lot of disposable pens malfunction and are thrown away before the cartridge is used up or they dry out or leak. Also, the cheap pens are the ones people tend to lose.The manufacturer has a life-time user guarantee against malfunctions. If the pen malfunctions with normal use, you can send it back and they'll replace it for free. Just don't drop it and or let someone step on it!

My go to pen for work..
Always been a fan of Parker pens, especially since they introduced Gel inks about 10 years ago. The Urban (I have the black barrel version), is a great pen. It's sizable (I have big hands so finding pens that don't feel like toothpicks is always good), very easy to hold, and writes very smoothly.For a $15 pen, this is very stylish, I won't panic if I misplace it (unlike my Duofolds or Sonnets), and doesn't look like a ratty biro that I found at the last hotel I was at. As always the Parker gel ink is easy flowing, this pen is never scratchy, and the ball design and the ergonomics of the pen mean that it's actually VERY easy to write with, and you find you can hold the pen lightly and don't get a sore hand.Will be getting a couple more just in case I lose this one!
